Those familiar with the ADA know that, traditionally, a short-term injury was categorically excluded from the definition of disability under the ADA. Over the past few years, there has been much litigation over what types of injuries or illnesses fall within the definition of disability since the Americans with Disabilities Amendments Act was enacted by the legislature.
